In May 2025, the Brazil-China Business and Trade Promotion Chamber (CPNCBC) held an important institutional meeting in the city of Carapicuíba, in the Greater São Paulo area. The agenda gathered Mayor José Roberto and former Mayor Marcos Neves, consolidating the dialogue between the municipal public sector and international cooperation opportunities offered by China.

The meeting’s central agenda was attracting investments aimed at urban modernization. Strategies were discussed to implement Smart City concepts, with a special focus on improvements in infrastructure and urban mobility.

The goal is to utilize Chinese technology and capital to solve logistical challenges and elevate the quality of public services in the region.

Strategic Connections for Development

The meeting reinforces CPNCBC’s commitment to promoting strategic connections between the public sector and the private sector. By acting as a facilitator, the Chamber seeks to enable projects that result in more sustainable and innovative urban development.

For Carapicuíba’s leadership, approaching international partners represents a promising path to accelerate structural works and adopt management technologies that are already a reality in major Asian centers.
